Dear Ovies, fellow runners and friends<\/h4>\n

March is an important month for our club as we will be hosting our fourth club race on the 17th! \u00a0I hope you are all as excited as we are and looking forward to helping on the day!<\/p>\n

RACE DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

The race committee is urgently looking for people to assist as marshals on race day. \u00a0PLEASE call Johan our race director and add your name to the list of helpers.\u00a0 Johan’s number is 083 324 5074.<\/p>\n

You are invited to meet our chairperson\u00a0 Johan every\u00a0 Monday at 18:00 on the rugby field of the school for a speed session.<\/p>\n

CLUB STATISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leon provided lots of interesting club statistics so please go to\u00a0Ovies Top 10 – 2018 (1)<\/a> to check it out!<\/p>\n

The statistics cover the top 10 times over the 10km, 21km and 42km for the prize giving period 1 November to end of February.\u00a0 It also shows the top 10 races and distance for the period.<\/p>\n

CLUB BRAAI<\/strong><\/p>\n

First of all thank you very much to Marietjie and Sandi for the really nice salads you made for our February braai and Johan for the pap and sous.\u00a0 It was a lovely evening with Paul Durand (012-348 5245) and Gretha Botha (082 897 2163) sharing their expertise with us.\u00a0 Please contact Paul for your physio needs and Gretha if you are interested in the BOM IV injection.\u00a0 And thank you to Ronell and Elza for providing flowers for the table and Ronell also for organising the lucky draw.<\/p>\n

The braai in March will be on the 7th after time trial.\u00a0 You are welcome to bring your meat, drinks, friends and family to braai with your running buddies.\u00a0 Coals will be provided.<\/p>\n

TIME TRIALS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members as well as visiting members are welcome to meet on Wednesdays at 17:30 at the Club for a 5km or 8km time trial.<\/p>\n

RUNNING CLOTHES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ronell will be available at the time trials to assist you but please arrange with her beforehand to meet her at the club.\u00a0 Visit the website to view our clothing range.\u00a0 The prices and Ronell’s contact details are also on our website.<\/p>\n

DUTY ROSTER FOR TIME TRIALS<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are kindly reminded to check the Annual Programme for the slots allocated to you.<\/p>\n

TIME TRIAL ROUTES<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the new members, here is some information on our time trial routes should you wish to try them out on your own:<\/p>\n

The routes start at the club. Turn right when you leave the main gate of the parking area.\u00a0 Follow the triangular arrows to the point where the 5km turns off. \u00a0From this point the 8km route continues with the fork tail arrows.<\/p>\n
